What Corona Public Records Include
Corona public records cover a wide set of offices. Riverside County ACR handles recorded documents, county clerk records, assessor data, official record copies, and local birth, death, and marriage copy channels. Riverside Superior Court keeps civil, criminal, family, probate, and traffic court files. The City of Corona keeps city clerk files, police-record procedures, Legistar agendas and minutes, permits, GIS maps, and city staff or commission records. State agencies hold professional licenses, voter-file rules, statewide vital records, business filings, unclaimed property, privacy programs, and offender registry data.

Corona Public Records at ACR
Riverside County Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder is the central records office for Corona land, clerk, copy, and assessment records. The Gateway main office is at 2724 Gateway Dr., Riverside, CA 92507. The County Clerk-Recorder phone line is 951-486-7000, and ACR phone hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The office encourages appointments and lists drop-off services. For Corona public records, ACR is often the custodian when the question involves deeds, liens, maps, official copies, assessor records, fictitious business names, marriage-copy channels, or clerk documents.
The ACR name search page is the public-records image assigned to this page because it exposes the live fields that make or break a recorded-document search.
Use broad name searching when exact spelling is uncertain. ACR suggests individual names in Last First MI order and notes that a last name plus first initial can help find more matches.
| Field | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Name | Text | Yes for name search | Individuals use Last First MI; organizations should match exact spelling. |
| Recording Date Start | Date | Optional | Appears on name, document-type, and advanced searches. |
| Recording Date End | Date | Optional | Narrows a broad name or document-type search. |
| Document Types | Dropdown or multi-select | Optional | Used on name, document-type, map/book-page, and advanced searches. |
| Document Number | Text | Yes for document-number search | Year-number format; leading zeros may be needed. |
| Book/Roll and Page/Cert | Text | Yes for map/book-page search | Used with document type for map or book/page references. |
Corona Public Records Offices
Office routing matters because a CPRA request to the wrong custodian can slow the search. ACR is the county recorder, clerk, and assessor path. Riverside Superior Court is separate from agency records and follows court access rules. City of Corona records start with the City Clerk or the department that created the record. County jail and sheriff records use Sheriff systems or CPRA routing, while city police reports use Corona Police Records Section procedures.

California CPRA Request Rules
The California Public Records Act, Gov. Code 7920.000 et seq., applies to state and local agency records, not to every court record or every confidential file. A request must reasonably describe identifiable records. Gov. Code 7922.530 and 7922.535 require agencies to make non-exempt records promptly available and to determine within 10 days whether the request seeks disclosable public records in the agency's possession. In unusual circumstances, the agency may extend the determination deadline by written notice for no more than 14 additional days.
Inspection may be free when a record can be viewed on agency premises without burden or risk. Copies may carry direct duplication costs or a statutory fee. Withholding must rest on an express exemption or the public-interest balancing rule in Gov. Code 7922.000. California court records are handled under court rules, and remote access can be narrower than courthouse terminal access.
- Identify the custodian: city, ACR, court, Sheriff, police records, CDPH, SOS, or another state office.
- Search the available portal first, since many custodians will point a requester to an existing online index.
- Describe the record by names, dates, case numbers, APNs, addresses, document types, or departments.
- Use the office's request portal, form, email, mail, counter, or court copy procedure.
- Pay direct duplication, certification, search, or statutory fees when the custodian requires them.
Lawful use. Corona public records are open for lawful personal, family-history, civic, property, and safety research. Do not use records to stalk, harass, threaten, or harm another person.
Corona Court Record Access
Riverside Superior Court public records are not obtained through the CPRA in the same way as agency files. The court's public portal provides case-number search, paid civil name search, paid criminal/traffic name search, document access, calendars, and certified-copy request links. Selecting a case can show the register of actions, which is a list of filed documents, filing dates, and filing parties. Calendar searches show current or future hearing dates up to 7 days, with hearing time, type, and department.
Remote document access is limited to non-confidential, non-sealed documents that court rules allow online. Document access requires a case number and costs $1 per page for the first 5 pages, then $0.50 per page, capped at $50 per document. RI-MC002 is the court's records search and copy form, with fields for case or citation number, names, business name, case type, date range, full case or listed documents, and certification options.
| Name-search credits | $1 for 1 credit, $3.50 for 5, $5 for 10, $25 for 75, or $250 for 30 consecutive days of unlimited credits. |
|---|---|
| Copy/search form | RI-MC002 lists $15 per name search, $0.50 per page copies, $40 certification, $32 off-site retrieval, $15 certified divorce decree, and $50 exemplification. |
| Restricted access | Juvenile, sealed, confidential, adoption, and some family-law records may be closed or courthouse-only. |
Corona Property and Tax Records
Property and tax records are public records that often answer different questions. RivCoView searches by APN or address and helps normalize a parcel before a deed search. Corona GIS parcel reports can include owner, mailing address, APN, zoning, general plan, assessed value fields, year built, living area, bedrooms, baths, fire severity zone, and previous APN. Map My County adds county GIS layers and searches. ACR assessor maps show parcel boundaries and recorded map details but do not show ownership or street addresses.
The Riverside Treasurer-Tax Collector property tax portal searches by PIN, property address, or bill number. Supplemental tax bill searches require bill number or address. Payment fees in the research file include no fee for eCheck or bank account payment, 0.95% for debit card, and 2.15% for credit card. Duplicate tax bills cost $3.41.
- APN or PIN
- The parcel identifier that connects assessor, tax, GIS, and sometimes recorded-document research.
- Situs address
- The physical property address.
- Mailing address
- The address where the owner receives tax or property mail, which may differ from the situs address.
- Custodian
- The office that legally keeps the record and sets access rules for copies or inspection.
Corona Vital Records Access
Vital-record public records have stricter access rules than many indexes. Riverside County ACR issues local certified birth, death, and marriage copies, while CDPH maintains statewide records and mail forms. Birth, death, and marriage copies use the authorized versus informational copy split under Health and Safety Code 103526. Authorized copies require an eligible requester plus a notarized or electronic sworn statement. Informational copies cannot establish identity.
CDPH maintains statewide birth and death records from July 1905 forward. Its divorce Certificate of Record covers 1962 through June 1984 and shows face-sheet information such as party names, filing date, county, and case number. The divorce decree itself must be ordered from the Superior Court. CDPH fees effective Jan. 1, 2026 are birth $31, death $26, marriage $19, dissolution $18, fetal death $23, and still birth $28, with average certified-copy processing of 5 to 7 weeks.
| Record | Keeper | Copy Rule | Fee in Research |
|---|---|---|---|
| Birth | Riverside ACR or CDPH | Authorized or informational; sworn statement for authorized copy. | CDPH $31 |
| Death | Riverside ACR or CDPH | Authorized or informational under state law. | CDPH $26 |
| Marriage | Riverside ACR or CDPH | Public marriage uses authorized/informational split; confidential marriage is more restricted. | CDPH $19 |
| Divorce | Superior Court for decree; CDPH for 1962-June 1984 certificate | Certificate is not the decree. | CDPH dissolution $18 |
Corona City and Police Records
City public records are not the same as county public records. The Corona City Clerk holds city records and documents, municipal and special election materials, council proceedings and minutes, claims, municipal code maintenance, FPPC-related filings, boards and commissions, and meeting records. Corona Legistar holds agendas, minutes, videos, and packets for City Council and boards or commissions. Corona eTRAKiT exposes categories for permits, projects, contractors, properties, and inspections.
The Corona Police Records Section maintains and retrieves crime reports, traffic accident reports, vehicle reports, and arrest reports. Its counter schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the page directs callers to 951-736-2330 option 3 before visiting. Traffic report copies are listed at $0.25 per page when approved and releasable. Local criminal history verification or clearance letters are listed at $27. Crime and incident reports route through the city public-records request process, while traffic accidents can also use the linked eCrash channel.
Corona Jail and Registry Records
The Riverside County Sheriff Inmate Information System is the county jail lookup for arrests booked into Riverside County facilities. Visible search fields include Last Name, First Name, and Date of Birth, with last name as the mandatory path. A sample result can show booking number, name, sex, race, date of birth, age, physical descriptors, arrest date and time, arresting agency, arresting location, booked date and time, current facility, next court date and time, and court name. The system warns that its data should not be relied on for legal action.
The inmate-search image is assigned to Corona public records because jail custody is one of the county systems that may identify a person, court date, and current facility.
California DOJ's Megan's Law registry is a statewide public registry, but DOJ notes that only information allowed by California law appears and some registrants are not displayed. Sheriff and registry records should be verified with the responsible agency when accuracy matters.
Corona Business Public Records
Business and license records are public records when the official agency makes them available. The California SOS bizfile Online Business Search covers corporations, LLCs, and limited partnerships and provides free public filing copies according to the official source. Local fictitious business names route through county clerk channels. DCA, CSLB, and State Bar lookups supply professional status and license history where the state maintains the records.
The bizfile screenshot is included because business filings may connect a Corona name to an entity, address, agent, or public filing copy without using a private directory.
Research did not capture exact bizfile search-field labels in accessible output, so the page does not claim a field list. The official URL and the free-filing-copy note are the supported facts.
When Corona Portals Fall Short
When an online index does not answer the question, use the fallback channel that matches the keeper. Riverside County uses NextRequest for general county department requests. Specialized public records still stay with specialized offices: ACR for recorded, property, and clerk documents; Riverside Superior Court portal or RI-MC002 for court records; Sheriff CPRA or station/Information Services Bureau for sheriff records; the City Clerk for city records; and Corona Police Records Section for local police records.
The Riverside County NextRequest image belongs on this public-records page because it is the general county fallback after the more specific portal or office path has been checked.
Older or offline channels matter. ACR public office computers search back to 1975, with 1974 and earlier at Gateway Riverside. Sheriff archive report requests prior to 2000 route to Information Services Bureau. Historical resident work may require the Heritage Room, local newspapers, cemetery records, or directories rather than a modern portal.
Restricted Corona Records
Some Corona public records have closed fields, restricted access, or special request rules. Sealed and confidential court records are not publicly viewable, and court rules can limit remote electronic access even when courthouse access exists. Juvenile and adoption records are closed. Authorized vital-record copies require eligibility. Voter files exclude California driver license numbers, California ID numbers, last four SSN, unique identifiers, and signatures under Elections Code 2194(b). Safe at Home participants may use confidential voter registration and substitute address protections.
Other limits come from law-enforcement exemptions, DMV privacy protections, protected addresses, redactions in recorded documents, and records confidential by statute. A denial or redaction should cite the legal basis or the public-interest rule. For voter-file misuse, Elections Code 18109 makes unauthorized use or acquisition a misdemeanor. For identity-theft concerns, California Penal Code 530.5 et seq. is the core criminal identity-theft statute cited in the research.
Note: A public index may prove that a record exists without making every image, field, address, or certificate open to every requester.
Corona Records Fees to Check
Fees change by custodian and record type. ACR's official records portal lists recorded-copy fees of $8 for the first page, $1 for each additional page, and $2 for certification. ACR assessor hard-copy parcel maps cost $8 by mail. Riverside Superior Court's research form lists $15 per name search, copies at $0.50 per page, certification at $40 per document, off-site retrieval at $32, certified divorce decree at $15, exemplification at $50, and postage when applicable. CDPH 2026 fees are separate from court or county copy fees.
Riverside ACR also warns about third-party property-profile or recorded-copy solicitations. Official recorded-document copies are available directly from ACR. Since Sept. 1, 2011, ACR Courtesy Notices have alerted owners when deeds, deeds of trust, or similar documents are recorded. If an owner does not recognize a recording, ACR points to the Riverside County District Attorney Real Estate Fraud Unit.
